elcome to the Canton of Harrowgate Heath, a humble community of individuals from eastern Ontario who gather regularly to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Europe’s Middle Ages.

In the modern world, the Canton is seated in Winchester, Ontario and covers a region that used to be the old counties of Grenville and Dundas. Our closest neighbouring cantons are in Ottawa, Kingston, Petawawa, and in the south, Potsdam, New York.

We are a local chapter in the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), an international society celebrating the life of medieval Europe between 600 A.D. and about 1600 A.D. The SCA is a non-profit, educational organization dedicated to researching and recreating the arts, skills and chivalry from life in pre-17th century Europe. It currently operates in 22 countries around the world, with an estimated registered membership of over 30,000 members.

Business Meetings
Next meeting is scheduled for December 7th at 2pm at Winchester Old Town Hall.

Canton Gatherings
The Canton's A Dark Winter's Fair event that was scheduled for January 31st has been cancelled to support the newly announced Kingdom 12th Night event to celebrate Ealdormere's 10th anniversary.

Archery Shoots
No shoots currently scheduled.

Fighting Practice
Fighter practices are held every Monday evening in Winchester.

During the summer, sessions are held outside the Winchester Arena (577 Main Street) starting at 5:30 pm. The bad weather back-up site is Henderson Hall (518 Church St, Winchester).
